First North American Helicopter Transcontinental Flight






On July 1950, pilot Lt Conrad Larson Pilot and crewman AD1 Gerald Dwight completed the first North American transcontinental flight by helicopter. A distance of 3.500 miles (5.632 km) in 62.5 hours from from Boston Squantum Naval Air Station Maryland to North Island Naval Air Station San Diego California
