1966 CH-46A 2080 US 151930 : 15jul16 I was on the first wave assault into LZ Crow, the helo I was on landed hard but no damage. /YT-18 and /YT-15 had collided prior to my landing. A Cpl in my company was chopped in half by rotor blades. Latter that afternoon, /EP-171 was hit by ground fire came into the LZ on fire and crashed.

1966 UH-46A 2026 US 150965 : 1966, as a young sailor in HC-1, I had the opportunity to work on and fly in old number 60. We installed 150 gallon F-4 Aux tanks on this bird and did all the flight testing at Ream Field. I think we got the MUC out of this endeavor. Was on Det. on the Sacramento when we received word of the crash.
