1967 | hss-2 | 61-105 | 149692 : the helicopter had a sonar device attached to a 'boom' lowered in the water. The water tide or wave pulled the helicopter in. Crew of 4, the pilot and navigator were rescued; 2 radio operators lost. Helicopter actually went down ("NV64 went in the water") 11-May-1967. The two lost were declared dead 14-May-1967. |

Recovered Lt. Michael Burns but lost to sea Lt. Bostic and 3rd class David Dutko. Lt Burns died later of massive trauma. |
