| 1969-1972 HMM-163 /YP-7, she wore the proud Evil Eyes of Yankee Papa 7. Cpl. Grinolds was her crew chief and supported me (156427 a VIP Bird) on several flights. Once at Barstow on an overnight flying the Commandant, he failed to chock the bird and it rolled off the grinder into a ditch. It was so foggy we had to use ropes tied onto us at each end to find her. Another time we were to pick up a VIP at the Fed building on Wilshire in LA and the Viet Nam protesters led by Hanoi Jame were there 156432 dusted them | |||

Boeing-Vertol CH-46E 1982, it was converted to an E left NARF Cherry Point spring of 83 asg HMM-764 at MCAS(H) Tustin, CA HMM-764 moved to El Toro early 84 It was still at 764 when I left Sept 86 I have been told by a state Dept mechanic that it is a parts source by Jan17 It was my aircraft from 83-86.
