1987 A PAED 69-5812 "Christine" was part of the 5040th when it initially entered service in 1969. It was retired in 1991 and during its flight to AMARC experienced an engine failure. Engine was changed in Ft St. Johns Canada. The refuel boom was painted with The aircraft sustained damage during a "hard landing" on Matanuska Glacier during a training mission. We rebuilt her and she then taxied into a hanger clipping the rotors. We rebuilt her again and then christened her Christine. Just like the movie, you couldn't kill her.
