In May of 2013 EGPT became the home of Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance. The aircraft chosen to become the latest HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service)craft was the twin engined Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm BO-105. Perth Airport was chosen as the base for what was to become Helimed 76 Due to its central Location. With the Callsign Helimed 76, the aircraft is being tasked by the SAS control room at Cardonald. Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance receives No funding from either the Scottish Ambulance service or the Scottish Government, therefore requires donations from the people it serves to keep Helimed 76 in the air and saving lives all over Scotland. On Sunday 25th of January 2014 Helimed 76 flew its 200th mission since Launching in May 2013, flying 17898 miles
In late 2015, the Bo 105 which operated as Helimed76 was replaced by the EC135T2
