As a testament to the Search and Rescue work carried out from RNAS Culdrose by 771 Naval Air Squadron (and other units before them), an iconic Rescue Sea King was preserved and placed just inside the base at the main roundabout from Helston to the Lizard, at the top of the town in Apr 2016.
