The Bell 407 is a four-blade, single-engine, civilian utility helicopter. It is based on the Bell 206L-4 LongRanger but with the rigid rotor with composite hub that was developed for the US Army OH-58D Kiowa Warrior ( Bell 406 )
First Flight was June 29, 1995 and the 1,000th helicopter was delivered on June 15, 2010. As of December 2017, more than 1400 Bell 407 of all variants were delivered.
