Four Hkp4A were refurbished and upgraded in 1980 to have similar capabilities as Hkp4B/C before being transferred to the Swedish Marinen for ASW, minelaying, SAR, and utility work. Later used by Nordic Battlegroup for troop transport. Once converted, aircraft received new serials; 04453->04075, 04455->04074, 04458->04076, 04459->04073.
