History of this Model in this Organisation:

Six CH-47D initially ordered in Apr 1994, followed by 6 more (plus an option on a further 4) improved CH-47SDs in 1997. They were initially based near Dallas, Tx, and crews visit the UK for simulator training. RSAF CH-47SDs have twin Honeywell T55-FA-714A engines, increased capacity external fuel tanks and a glass cockpit. Used for both heavy lift and special purposes.
