In 2009 Boeing offered the AH-64E(I) and Chinook to the Indian Air Force. The IAF ordered both on 2015. As part of the contract, a new factory built in Hyderabad by Tata is the sole producer of the Apache fuselages globally. On September 2019, the first AH-64E(I) arrived to India to replace the Mi-35 in 125 Helicopter Squadron at Pathankot Air Force Station. Number 22 and last one is expected to be delivered in March 2020.
