History of this Model in this Organisation:

First batch of 50 airframes for the UK Army Air Corps were Agusta Bell 47G-3B-1, known as the Sioux AH.1 in service. Built by Costruzioni Aeronautiche Giovanni Agusta SpA in  Gallerate, deliveries were from Jun 1964 and initial maintenance difficulties (of these and the Westland supplied models) were largely overcome in AAC service by July 1965.
