US Army Aviation TH-67A Creek

The Bell 206B won the 1992 New Training Helicopter (NTH) program to replace the UH-1H hueys at the US Army training school. 137 commercial Bell 206B-3 were purchased from 1993 ( 35 VFR and 102 IFR types )

The TH-67 arrived at Fort Rucker in 1993 to begin its service as the primary trainer for US Army aviators and eventually as the longest-serving primary flight trainer in the Department of Defense. The fleet grew to 181 helicopters and for almost 3 decades flew over 1,915,000 hours and trained more than 25,000 american and foreign students in the initial entry rotor wing program.

Replacement began in 2015 with newly built UH-72A Lakota plus some transferred from National Guard units

27-Mar-15 - The US Army received first UH-72A Lakota from production line configured as initial-entry training helicopter. Newest helicopter will join seven Lakotas already modified to training configuration
