Evergreen Accepts First Of Three Bell/Agusta AB139 Helicopters

Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company celebrated symbolic handover of the first of three AB139 helicopters ordered by Evergreen Helicopters

AgustaWestland, February 06, 2005 - AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company today marked the symbolic handover of the first of three AB139 helicopters ordered by Evergreen Helicopters, a division of Evergreen International Aviation. The ceremony took place at Bell/Agusta's booth during this week's HAI Heli-Expo annual convention in Anaheim, California.

"Evergreen's first Bell/Agusta AB139, officially delivered in December 2004 but recognized and celebrated today, marks the first acceptance of an FAA-certified AB139 by a US customer," stated Managing Director Louis Bartolotta. "AB139s will become an increasingly familiar sight across the United States and the world as Evergreen and other owners commence operations, and as Bell/Agusta commences an aggressive demonstration tour for prospects here in North America following HeliExpo 2005."

Evergreen's second aircraft is due later this year, while delivery of the third will take place in 2006. "We believe in Bell/Agusta and the AB139," said Evergreen Chairman and Founder Delford Smith. "We respect its technical advancement and appreciate the reliable logistics aboard. The AB139 is an angel of mercy and an industrial workhorse."

Since 1960, Evergreen Helicopters has matched machines to missions, develop configurations, and provide essential support to clients worldwide. With professional crews, a diverse fleet of heavy, medium and light helicopter, plus a fixed wing complement, Evergreen provides support to agriculture, construction, forestry, government, health, law enforcement, peacekeeping, petroleum, seismic, timber, and utility organizations.
