South Africa’s Ultimate HELI concluded its third successive Antarctica season operating an AS350 off a scientific research vessel

Ultimate Heli, April 20, 2017 - Ultimate HELI is a world class provider of helicopter services, supplying the safest and the most efficient helicopter charter, helicopter maintenance, advanced helicopter training, utility helicopters and helicopter support worldwide.

We are proud to announce that we have concluded our third successive Antarctica season where we operated off a scientific research vessel and supported two permanent Antarctica stations in the American Highlands and Queen Maud Land in Antarctica.

The helicopter and crew departed from Cape Town in late December 2016 and safely retuned back to Cape Town at the end April 2017.

Shaun Roseveare CEO of Ultimate Heli said “We are immensely proud of our team for all the hard work that went into our third successive Antartrica season. We operated over 130 hours in total with one of our Airbus Helicopter H125’s.

These operational hours are broken up into over 700 passengers moved and a total of 200 individual under-slung flights with a total of over 16’000 Kgs under-slung cargo carried.

We will be operating an additional two medium twin helicopter’s this coming Antarctica summer season that will be providing search and rescue support for 7 nations conducting scientific work in a 2,7 million square kilometer Queen Maud Land in Antarctica
