Two AS350 B3e to Mustang Helicopters

Eurocopter, April 16, 2013 - Fort Erie, ON, Canada - Coast to Coast Helicopters took delivery of two enhanced AS350 B3e’s to increase support for the groups utility helicopters operations. Both aircraft will be operated by one of the group’s subsidiary operations; Mustang Helicopters.

“The purchase of the AS350 B3e’s was an easy decision as the AStar family has continued to demonstrate its reliability and performance in our day-to-day operations,” said Frederic Allard, President, Mustang Helicopters. “Thanks to its effective lifting power, capacity, maneuverability and endurance, the AS350 B3e’s will lend additional support for our utility missions.”

Coast to Coast’s fleet is comprised of a variety of rotary and fixed wing aircraft which provide service to Oil and Gas, Forestry, Hydro, Passenger and Freight Transportation, Mining, Emergency Services and Tourism sectors. With delivery of the new aircraft, Mustang Helicopters’ fleet will be comprised of an impressive 11 AS350 B2’s and 3 AS350 B3e’s.

“We are enthusiastic about continuing to assist Coast to Coast in growing as an industry leader and exceptional Canadian operation with the purchase of both AS350 B3e’s,” said Mr. Guy Joannes, President & CEO, ECL. “We appreciate their continued support and confidence in our product.”

The powerful, high-performance AS350 B3e is designed to carry out the most demanding missions in the most extreme weather and geographical conditions. Its exceptional lifting capability, high endurance, extended range and fast cruise speed make the AS350 B3e the leader in its class.

The AS350 B3e cockpit is fitted with a dual LCD-screen Vehicle and Engine Multifunction Display (VEMD), allowing the pilot to check at one glance the main vehicle and engine parameters – thus reducing his workload and enhancing safety. The use of composite material for the airframe, rotors and main rotor head gives the AS350 B3e excellent protection against corrosion and, consequently, reduces your maintenance costs.

Both AS350 B3e’s have a variety of Eurocopter Canada optional equipment installed; Cargo Pods for increased storage, an Enlarge Floor Window for improved longlining capabilities and an Airframe Fuel Filter. Additional options include; Dual Hydraulics for increased maximum gross weight as well as, a Facet Scavenger Oil Filter and AFS Inlet Barrier Filter for bush flying operations.
