Specialist Aviation Services, October 08, 2015 - Specialist Aviation Services is very pleased to announce that Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust will be taking delivery of an AW169 next summer.
The aircraft will replace the Trust’s current MD902 Explorer which SAS provides and operates on the charity’s behalf.
The Trust’s decision was confirmed by Chief Executive Peter Aldrick yesterday at Helitech International 2015.
Peter Aldrick states, “We continue to enhance the services we are able to provide to the people of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We introduced a night HEMS service with our very capable MD Explorer three years ago.
“We are now looking for our doctors and paramedics to be able to deal with a wider range of patient cases and we are very much looking forward to doing this with the new AW169.”
About Specialist Aviation Services Medical Services : SAS has been providing air ambulance support since 1985 and is one of the largest HEMS operators in the UK, working with the British Helicopter Association, the Association of Air Ambulances and its membership to be at the forefront of world class emergency medical support 24 hours a day.
Our medical aviation services include the supply of helicopters with specially designed medical interiors and their crews. We also provide specialist HEMS crewmember training for our customers’ own doctors and paramedics. In order to ensure we can maximise the on-line availability of the emergency medical services offered, we provide 24/7 back-up with spare helicopters, extra crews, locally based field engineers and we also hold an extensive inventory of spare parts.
