Farren, December 11, 2015 - On December 9th HW Farren LLC completed the second Transcontinental Transport of two Prototype Helicopters for the Agusta Westland X-Operations Team.
The first transport originated at Fairbanks Alaska with our team protective packaging the AW-189 for transport to the Great Lakes Area for additional Cold weather Icing Trials. The aircraft was multi-layered packaged by our Derek Simony and Michael Macaione Jr. The oversize transport of the aircraft and four support loads was safely completed traversing the ALCAN, just prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday led by our Mark Stap and Keith Hensley.
Glenn Wargo of Farren and Mirco Fantin of Agusta Westland Italy worked closely with Agusta Westland Italy to prepare all documents to cross the Canadian Provinces on Farren’s Bonds.
Following this transport, we again protective packaged the AW-169 Prototype helicopter at Thermal California by Derek Simony and Gary Lafler. We then transported the test aircraft from led by our Joe Otnisky, safely transporting this aircraft and three support loads to Agusta Westland Philadelphia Corporation on December 9th.
The team effort was monitored and coordinated by Nik Dudukovich at our Randolph New Jersey headquarters. We are pleased and honored to have our customers choose our services to transport aircraft and support equipment to and from Alaska for Cold and Icing Trials since 2002.
