DART Aerospace, January 28, 2014 - DART Aerospace is pleased to announce the introduction of a 39-inch extended height landing gear for the Bell 412 aircraft.
Designed specifically for this aircraft, the landing gear will include an exclusive, stainless-steel, Aft crosstube that is stronger, more durable, and corrosion-resistant.
This unique landing gear was developed to provide additional ground clearance for belly-mounted water tanks, or other belly-mounted equipment commonly used in firefighting or law enforcement missions. This unique 39-inch extended height crosstube, exclusively manufactured by DART, is 12 inches higher than the standard height crosstube and requires less maintenance.
Located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Wildcat Helicopters is the launch customer for this new product line. "DART Aerospace has a long history of developing innovative technology within our industry. The DART 39-inch extended height landing gear is an example of this, and was developed as a direct response to a specific client need. The Bell 412 Extended Height Landing Gear has received Transport Canada and FAA approvals. EASA approval is expected shortly.
