Air Methods, January 16, 2017 - DENVER, CO – United Rotorcraft received CAAC (Civil Aviation Authority of China) Validation for its FAA STC of the Bell 429 emergency medical interior.
The validation supported the delivery of the first EMS Bell 429 into the Chinese EMS market. The aircraft was completed at Bell Helicopter Canada and delivered to an operator based in Beijing.
United Rotorcraft’s CAAC validated B429 medical interior consists of a machined aluminum floor overlay with “anti-skid” surface and United Rotorcraft’s aerospace designed and manufactured Roll-on/Fold-up (ROFU) litter, which allows the patient to have headrest up for all aspects of flight, enhancing patient care and access. The kit also includes medical crew seating and advanced life support systems such as liquid oxygen, integrated compressed air, suction, and electrical power.
