Precision Aviation Group, March 09, 2017 - Middle Georgia State University proudly displays one of their new Guimbal Cabri G2s at Heli-Expo in Dallas, Texas.

Precision Aviation Training of Newberg, Oregon recently completed the University’s training in Eastman, Georgia, bringing their flight instructors up to speed on the aircraft’s technology and handling characteristics.

Last year at HAI the college identified the aircraft as a contender to replace its fleet of Schweizer 300Cs. Through a process of elimination and after carefully evaluating the other aircraft in its class the college voted to move forward with acquiring the Cabri and signed the contract with the USA distributor, Precision.

Helicopteres Guimbal and Precision worked closely to ensure the aircrafts configuration was optomized to meet the college’s expectations.

“We chose the Cabri for its modern technology, ease of maintenance, and safety features. We hope it allows us to continue our immaculate safety record and increases our fleet up time,” says Robert Hobbs whom is their Floor Maintenance Supervisor.

Middle Georgia State University covets their 20 year accident-free training operations. The college operates a fleet of 25 Piper airplanes including Warriors, Archers, Arrows, Seminoles and a Citabria. The helicopter fleet is now comprised of 2 Guimbal Cabri G2’s, 3 Schweizer 300 CBi’s, and 1 Robinson R44. Both, fixed-wing and rotary-wing, fleets have aircraft with glass cockpit technology.

Kyle Collins, the college’s Helicopter Chief Pilot just completed his training with Precision’s Director of Flight Training, Nigel Cooper and states ; ”The training went great. Precision and Nigel went above and beyond to ensure MGA was set up for success. Bruno Guimbal, thank you for making this helicopter!”
