Airbus Helicopters, March 22, 2017 - Langkawi – Airbus Helicopters held a ceremony at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), to celebrate the achievement of 10,000 safe flying hours for the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s fleet of H225M helicopters, which have been in service since 2012.
The event was graced by General Dato’ Sri Hj Affendi Bin Buang TUDM, Chief of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Airbus Helicopters’ Vice President and Head of Sales, South East Asia & Pacific, Fabrice Rochereau, presented the Air Force Chief with the awards to commemorate the milestone.
The Royal Malaysian Air Force’s H225M pilots who have achieved 1,000 and 500 flying hours respectively on the H225M were also presented with flying hours achievement awards at this memorable event.
The Royal Malaysian Air Force has acquired 12 H225M helicopters, which are all currently in service.
A proven workhorse, the H225M fleet has participated in various exercises and humanitarian missions, including the recent flood evacuations, mercy missions and the rescue mission at the Mount Kinabalu.
