Aeronautica Militare Italiana, June 03, 2016 - With the last three flights made yesterday, the number of transports from the beginning of the year in favor of people in imminent danger of life has risen to 113, with a total of more than 300 flight hours.
Alghero, Naples, Milan, Cagliari, Rome, Reggio Calabria, Genoa and Palermo are just some of the many cities that have seen crews of the Air Force in support of the community.
Over 30% of the flights were carried out in response to requests received from Sardinian Prefectures.
The Air Force, through its many fixed and rotary wing transport units: 46th Air Brigade (Pisa), 9th Wing (Grazzanise), 14th Wing (Pratica di Mare), 15th Wing (Cervia) and 31 Wing (Ciampino) provides assets and crews ready to take off 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in all weather conditions.
