Rostec, June 02, 2016 - Russian Helicopters, part of State Corporation Rostec, will showcase its current model range of military helicopters at the International exhibition of weaponry and munitions KADEX-2016 in Astana, Kazakhstan. Along with Rosoboronexport, Russian Helicopters will feature the multirole Mi-35M and the Mi-28NE attack helicopters.

As part of the business program, Russian Helicopters will hold a briefing for representatives from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense about tactical characteristics, aircraft performance and durability of the Mi-35M helicopter.

The multirole Mi-35M attack helicopter is a comprehensive modernization of the world-famous Mi-24V. The Mi-35M is designed to destroy hostile armored vehicles, provide close air support, land troops, evacuate injured persons and transport cargo in the cabin and on an external sling. It can be deployed in combat missions in various geographies with high-temperature and high-altitude environments and features round-the-clock combat capabilities for conducting missions during day and night. Visitors of KADEX-2016 can find the Mi-35M helicopter at a stand and watch a demonstration flight. "The use of helicopters as one of modern means of warfare can further increase the power of armed forces. These rotor-driven machines are indispensable during operations conducted by special forces, for fighting illegal armed groups, terrorists, drug trafficking and for border patrol. As the developer and producer of modern helicopters, Russian Helicopters are ready to assist the CSTO countries with maintaining a high level of tactical efficiency of their helicopter units", said Russian Helicopters' CEO Alexander Mikheev.

With another new military helicopter at KADEX 2016, Russian Helicopters will showcase its new generation Mi-28NE Night Hunter - a modern attack helicopter designed to carry out search and destroy operations against tanks, armoured and un-armoured vehicles, and enemy personnel in combat, as well as for low-speed airborne targets. It can operate night and day, and in adverse weather conditions. The Night Hunter has been officially accepted into service by the Russian Ministry of Defense. A special export version of the Mi-28NE Night Hunter was developed in 2016, which features a dual control system.
