Barfield wins five year US Army OH-58D support






Barfield, November 27, 2012 - Miami - The U.S. Army Contracting Command, global contracting support provider for the Army’s tactical aircraft, awarded Barfield a 5-year contract for the maintenance of its Alkan Electro Mechanical Release units, placed on the US Army’s Bell 406 Helicopters.

Within the scope of this contract, Barfield will provide depot level repair solutions from its facility in Miami for up to 168 Alkan Electro Mechanical Release units (Weapons Rack) used on the XM149 (OH-58D)
Helicopter Armament System of the U.S. Army’s Bell 406 Helicopters. The services provided include:

- Component maintenance
- Engineering support
- Expendables
- Technical and Logistical assistance

This is the first significant contract between Barfield and the U.S. Army and it emphasizes Barfield’s status as MRO of choice for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of military helicopters.
