Reach Air Medical, March 14, 2017 - Santa Rosa, CA - REACH Air Medical Services was selected to provide fixed-wing aviation services to Care Flight, an air ambulance service provider operated by the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) out of Reno, Nevada.

The addition of this aircraft to Care Flight’s existing helicopter fleet will provide patients with access to longer-distance transports when needed.

Care Flight currently provides air medical helicopter service to California and Nevada. The addition of this airplane will extend the company’s service area to the western United States.

Care Flight will provide the medical crew and management of daily operations while REACH will provide the aircraft, pilots, and mechanics. The aircraft chosen for this service is the Pilatus PC-12/45, which is well suited for high-altitude flights of the region. The service will be offered as an extension of REACH’s existing program, which includes over 45 helicopter and fixed-wing bases located throughout Nevada, California, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and Texas.

“Care Flight is thrilled to join with REACH to provide fixed-wing critical care transportation across the region and primarily to our rural partner agencies,” said Dean Dow, President, and CEO, REMSA.

"REACH's industry-leading safety record, their commitment to maintaining key Emergency Medical Services (EMS) accreditations, and the availability of a modern, high-performing airplane made them the ideal candidate for Care Flight.”

“REACH recognized that Care Flight was the ideal partner to provide fixed-wing critical care transports in this area,” said Anna Blair, Vice President of Strategy, REACH. “Together, with our shared commitment to safety and quality patient care, we’ll continue to provide innovative healthcare solutions.”
