HeloAir, February 20, 2015 - Richmond, VA - HeloAir is pleased to announce that the first of this year it signed a long term management agreement with a Fortune 500 company to manage, maintain and fly a new Sikorsky S-76D exclusively for that company.

HeloAir took delivery of the new helicopter on January 25th.

“We are excited about this new opportunity to expand our operation and become part of the Sikorsky family. As one of only a handful of S-76D operators in North America we look forward to assisting Sikorsky with the continued success of its 76D program,” said president Whit Baldwin.

HeloAir has owned and operated almost the entire line of Bell light products for the last 23 years, 206BIII, 206LIII and IV, 407, 427 and 430.

Sonny Rea, a 16-year member of the HeloAir team and former HMX commander, will head the program. Rodger Crawley, a 12-year team member, former army Blackhawk PIC and airline pilot will act as the second pilot. Nicola Newland, a 15 year team member and HeloAir Chief Pilot will also be a qualified S-76D captain. The helicopter will be operated FAR Part 91 under both instrument and visual flight rules.

Sikorsky: The S-76D helicopter is truly the next step in helicopter technology, setting a new standard of excellence that S-76 helicopter operators have come to expect. Power and performance are enhanced by all composite main rotor blades and optimized Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210S engines with dual FADEC controls. Its quiet tail rotor will allow for reduced external acoustic signature and gain acceptance with the communities where it operates. Pilots will appreciate the state-of-theart integrated Thales cockpit, its increased range and its ability to launch into known icing conditions. Passengers will love the quieter cabin.

About HeloAir: HeloAir provides management and charter services, NASCAR shuttles, performs fire suppression, aerial filming, utility work and operates from bases throughout the United States. HeloAir is committed to safety and customer service.
