Truth Data, provider of flight data monitoring services for data analytics, post-flight visualization and reporting, renewed contract with Air Methods

Air Methods Renews Contract with Truth Data
Truth Data, September 19, 2017 - Fort Worth, Texas – Air Methods announces renewal of Truth Data for flight operations and quality assurance (FOQA) and flight data monitoring (FDM) services.

Truth Data provides FOQA and FDM services for data analytics, post-flight visualization and reporting.

“Supporting Air Methods and its operations is extremely important to everyone at Truth Data,” says Peter Henrikson, president of Truth Data. “Their continued focus on enhancing safety is part of what makes them a leader in the industry.”

Truth Data will continue to facilitate the integration of Honeywell Tracker III FDM units into Air Methods’ long-established FOQA program. In addition, Truth Data works with Air Methods to turn a wealth of information into actionable insights for safer, more efficient aircraft.

“Truth Data allows us to examine flight performance, and provides us with a deeper understanding and awareness of where risks exist and how to better manage those risks within our safety management systems (SMS),” said Cory Theriot, vice president of Safety and Risk Management at Air Methods. “This continued partnership not only locks-in analytical virtuosity for Air Methods, but streamlines future integrations.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) rule (FAR 135.607), all operators with 10 or more aircraft are required to implement FDM systems by April 23, 2018. Truth Data offers FDM services and statistical analysis.

Mr. Henrikson added, “It takes a lot of experience to understand the nuances of rotorcraft data analysis and how it can benefit the operator, both from a safety perspective as well cost savings. Customers have been asking us how to make the most of complying with the HEMS/HAA FDM Rule (Helicopter Air Ambulance Rule, FAR 135.607 Flight Data Monitoring System). We’re able to tailor support for small operators with just a few aircraft all the way up to the largest operators in the industry. Between Air Methods in the United States and Toll in Australia, we are supporting the two largest air medical operators in each country.”

About Truth Data: Truth Data brings a new level of safety and efficiency to helicopter operators by providing FOQA and FDM services by drawing on decades of aviation experience, both military and civilian, to support operators in all market segments worldwide.
