Local subsidiary of Air Malta, operating daily flights between Malta (Luqa, LMML) and Gozo (Xewkija, LMMG) since 1990. Initially operated a Agusta-Bell AB.212, but then used airframes chartered from Bulkan Bulgarian. In 1992 Sochispecavia was contracted until 1997, when another Bulgarian operator, Heli Air took over from the Russian contractor. Service under threat from Malta's drive to joint the EU in 2004, as the MI-8s used don't meet aviation regulations.
