First helicopter Hiller OH-23 back in 1975
O.C.S.O. helicopter aviation established on April 21, 1973 at Syracuse, NY being the first upstate New York municipality and second in the state (Second to New York City). Three military surplus Hiller OH-23D helicopters Whirly birds were obtained to outfit the program which become operational on June 25, 1975 as Air STOP (Air to Surface Tactical Offensive Patrol)
