Formed in Feb 1944 as an RAF unit, by renaming 127 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force at RAF Digby in Lincolnshire, UK. Disbanded Mar 1946. Reformed from the split of HS50 as HS443 in the anti-submarine role with CH-124 Sea Kings. In 1994, the unit was redesignated MH443 to reflect its increasing contribution in maritime patrol activities.  |
