Unit History:

Began life as the Army Support Squadron in 1960 ? Primarily an Army Support unit with Alouette IIIs based at Baldonnel (EIME) and split into A and B Flights. Provides a detatchment at Finner Camp (EIFR) and a detatchment at Muineachán (Monaghan) Camp.

Alouette III fleet being replace with EC-135s from Nov 2005
