606 Sqn was formed in 1996 as the Helicopter Support Squadron. Part of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, it provides trained reservists to support the UK helicopter force on operations and in peacetime. Based at RAF Benson, the Sqn has provided personnel to support operations in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan.  |
