How to pronaunce Chinook in English ?
Steve, a former 2/75 Rangers tell us :
Well, back in the early 70's, we had to walk off the back of these 2 bladed wonders. There is
2 ways to pronounce this aircraft;
1st -- for the legs that never jumped from them they call them the chi nook
2nd -- if you where a Ranger, you pronounced it shit hook :)
"Chi" with the 'I' being short
