How they Fly?

Converting to Compressed Air

Wrote for the Helicopter History Site by Clive Ocnacuwenga

AN INDECENT PROPOSAL?

Problem: Cost of fuel and dependence on oil, gas, coal & building of dams.
Present approach: Alternative fuels- hydro-electricity; reduced usage; solar/wind. All having major limitations of land space, water volumes, wind or sun; Most fuels are being depleted, with prices always rising. Even Solar and wind are not cheap.

UNTRIED: Compressed Air

Facilitator: The Reciprocating Air Piston- Invented by Clive Ocnacuwenga, Jamaica

WHO NEEDS HELP:

All major commercial energy users- Airlines, Truckers, Buses, Trains, Ferries, Ships- even the big ore transports, Tractors, Bulldozers, Haulage systems, boats, Construction groups, Electricity producers- Yes air is cheaper than water, and is never depleted.
All groups to join forces with AUTOMOBILE-TRUCK-PLANE-TRAIN-GENERATOR BULLDOZER manufacturers to order, build and use systems fitted with the RECIPROCATING AIR PISTON- all will need to earn a profit. This will reduce fuel & energy costs.

What to do:

1. OCNACUWENGA makes specifications of AIR PISTON available to manufacturers WHO WILL AGREE to pay small sums to OCNACUWENGA for each piston produced, before adding their own costs-viz:

Car- US $40
Truck/Tractor Head
US200; Train US$1700
Planes US$ 250-4000
Motor cycles-US$20 (AIR POWERED CYCLES)
etc, etc.

2. User aggregations request manufacture of AIR PISTON
3. Users place orders for vehicles- planes- trains- buses- etc fitted with the Air Piston
4. OCNACUWENGA to build and install air production systems using mechanically generated electricity which carries a price tag representing an infinitesimal portion of existing fuel costs.
5. Aircraft will benefit most, as the weight of fuel will no longer act as a source of drag on flight. AIRCRAFT fitted with AIR COMPRESSORS for take off and AIR POWERRED PROPS for cruising. AIRCRAFT can also be replenished in mid-air without the danger of fires from escaping fuel. REASONS FOR THE LOW COST:

There is no external fuel used completely mechanical
The system makes its own energy
System requires very little manpower and no maintenance
System operates and produces at MAXIMUM Load on a continuous, uninterrupted basis.

SUPPLIES: OCNACUENGA to maintain AIR DUMPS and DEPOTS in strategic locations- with pipeline connectivity: Rail yards, Bus Stations, Truck Stops, Docks, Recreational Areas. AIR SUPPLIED AT 30% OF CURRENT ENERGY COSTS, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THAT FIGURE MAY BE.

CAVEAT: AIR WILL NOT BE SUPPLIED to vehicles made by NON-PARTICIPATING MANUFACTURERS.

STANDARD SMALL VEHICLE CONTAINER 36 X 18 (5 THICK- 2900 P.S.I.- 700 KILOMETRES- some vehicles fitted with several)
LAREGR UNITS- 72x72 (9 THICK- 5500 P.S.I.- 700 KILOMETRES)
REFILLING DUMPS & DEPOTS- every 50 KILOMETRES) + ALL AIRPORTS AND AERODROMES ACCORDING TO SIZE AND DEMAND.

TIMELINE FOR DEVELOPMENT AND ROLL OUT- 3-5 YEARS (2013).
