CHC Lands Military Flight Training Contract

ST. JOHN'S, Newfoundland ( CHC Press Release ) - CHC Helicopter Corporation announced today that its operating division Canadian Helicopters Western has been awarded a three-year flight-training contract by the Canadian Department of National Defense.

The Helicopter Pilot Mountain Training contract is valued at over $1.7 million and includes an option to extend for a further two years. Training of DND pilots will take place at the Canadian Helicopters' School of Advanced Flight Training in Penticton, B.C.

The School is renowned for the quality of its flight training programs and provides training to some of the world's most elite military, police, government and corporate helicopter pilots.

Its clients include the RCMP, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, Venezuelan National Guard, Dutch National Police and many others.

The School has conducted flight training for more than 45 years and was recently awarded the prestigious Commanders Commendation from 1 Canadian Air Division for the outstanding quality of support provided to the pilots of the Canadian Forces.
