    1979 hh-52a 62-054 US 1376 : I watched the acident very close to our(CG) helo pad. 1376 never saw the ascending Bell because they had nose up to decrease speed and and power in a retarded setting. Sad to loose our whole crew for NO REASON. BELL FLOWN BY FOREIGN STUDENT and Dade County Air controllers had too much overlapping traffic.

    1982 hh-52a 62-135 US 1456 : w/o 12apr82 crashed due to dynamic rollover off the starboard side of CGC Valiant. She floated for approximately 24 hours before sinking. Air crew egressed safely and was recovered by a Valiant boat crew, and with two minor injuries to Valiant personnel. I was RM2 onboard Valiant when this happened

    1985 hh-52a 62-072 US 1391 : 15jul85 last flown. suffered an inflight emergency while enroute from the Cutter Bear to its home base of CGAS Miami. It autorotated into the ocean at approx 7AM just off shore of Eleuthera Island, Bahamas. The aircraft was eventually returned to the Airstation and decommissioned. I was an aircrewman on that last flight.
    1987 hh-52a 62-125 US 1442 : I was assigned to CGAS Port Angeles at the time of the mishap. I participated in the salvage and later received the 8 day clock as well as the pilot and co-pilot seats. Converted the seats to bar stools and had the clock repaired. It sits on my desk and functions perfectly.
