1986 hh-3f 61-635 US Coast Guard 1473 : UNKNOWN DATE, I was the Avionicsman when we ditched 1473 off of Fort Myers Fla due to Pilot running out of fuel.
US Coast Guard 1473 : Sep69 at CGAS San Diego
US Coast Guard 1473 : Jul 1979, operating from CGAS Cape Cod, rescued an injured seaman from the Sporty Fisherman and flew to a local hospital for treatment.
US Coast Guard 1473 : w/o 02nov86 struck a high cliff and fell to the beach below on Ugak Island off Kodiak, AK. all 6 onboard killed
US Coast Guard 1473 : I was the radioman on duty at the air station when this crash occured. They were flying out to bring in a child with a head injury from a village. We sent a C-130 to look for them after they failed to make radio contact. The c-130 found the wreakage burning. I remember how the CO of the airsta looked right through me as I informed him there were no survivors, like his mind was a million miles away, with his lost crew.

US Navy 152136 : Lost after lower passenger door departed the aircraft and struck the tail rotor. The aircraft was suffering severe vibrations prior to the door departing the aircraft. I was the 1st Crewman. Gary Schreffler talachan
US Navy 152136 : The arcraft was lost due to tail rotor failure which was probably due to cracks in tail rotor drive shaft mounts. Cracks were discovered in the mounts of other aircraft following this incident. The passenger door departed the aircraft due to the violent vibrations created by an unsupported/unbalanced driveshaft.
