1983-1985, was Flight M3 on HMS Galatea and this was my cab. Very very sad to see it like this. All M3 mechanics were the "plane captains" and pride made sure we kept our cabs the best they could be. The plane captains name appeared in red within the rectangular fuel tank access panel on each side of the aircraft (access panel also painted in a rectangle. I wa AEM J Cook, my relief was AEM M Pearce. loves that cab, it was oldest in the wasp has 1 fleet at that time. | |||
This was c/s461 last on HMS Tartar and HMS Galatea, flew many years in this aircraft. sadly now a hulk at Predannack | |||
