I was one of the responders “ I was one of the responders on watchroom duties at the fire station. We got a message from ATC local stand by immediate for puma landing on runway 17. As I alerted the crews as I watched it come in to land about ten feet above the runway near rw 23 it lost control you saw that the pilot was fighting to get controll but it went nose up and onto its starboard side. Remember close the watchroom and turnong up with reserve appliance as part of response the oddest moment i witnessed as the survivors were being put in the casualty zone the police officer said to you want to go to haspital by ambulance or helicopter the survivors lifted ther head and saw another puma standing by rotors running they all refused but who were unconscious ” |
