Helicopter Bell CH-136 Kiowa Serial 44070 Register VH-OSQ N6346E 136270 used by Canadian Armed Forces. Built 1972. Aircraft history and location 136270 BuNo 71-20935, to N6346E 1986-09-16 A ENDU while on final duding an Air Mobile (Exercise BRAVE LION) operation in Norway, the a/c struck a wire and crashed. The initial wire contact was in the rotor mast area causing an immediate loss of control. The WSPS had not engaged the war due the shallow closing angle. Both crew members survived the crash
and airframe suffered Cat “B” damage.
