In May 1932 Cierva moved its production here (separately from Avro at Hamble) to produce the Cierva C.19 IV P. In Nov 1934, Juan de la Cierva demonstrated the C.30 here before line production started (in parallel with Avro).
In Oct 1947 as aviation activity was winding down here, the Bell 47B was first demonstrated at Hanworth Park House.
