History of this Location | |
Butterley Hall was ancestral home to the Outrams, an 18th Century industrial family. In 1970, it became the HQ for the Derbyshire Constabulary and in Apr 1998, the North Midlands Helicopter Support Unit was established here. It is served by a helipad and a 230m x 30m grass runway to the west for rolling take-offs. The Hall itself is a Grade II listed building.
