The Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital is under construction (began Feb 2021) in the grounds of the Salford Royal Hospital in Eccles. The hospitals first helipad (bearing the legend SALFORD ROYAL) will be on the roof of the new block, replacing a field c 400m away.
