
The Sikorsky S-62C was used by the United States Coast Guard as the HH-52A Seaguard for search and rescue. It was in service from 1962-1989 when it was replaced by the HH-65 Dolphin. The Coast Guard acquired 99 from Sikorsky, transferring one to the Icealandic Coast Guard in the early 1970s and losing 10 in accidents. All have now been retired and some have been preserved and two are flying on the civil register. Missing c/ns for USCG serial 1380 - 1382.
