KAI KUH-1 Surion

The Korea Utility Helicopter program was awarded in 2006 to KAI/Eurocopter and full-scale production started in 2012.

Eurocopter was in charge of the power transmission, main gear box, boom and tail gearboxes, automatic flight control system and rotor mast.

Power is provided by a pair of General Electric / Hanwha Techwin T700-ST-701K turboshaft engines.

As of 2016, near 60 were already built

GE HUMS for Korean Marine Attack Helicopter

19-Jun-23 - KAI has chosen GE Aerospace Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) for the new Korean Marine Attack Helicopter (KMAH). GE has previously supplied over 250 HUMS systems for the Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH) Surion, which serves as the basis for the KMAH #KMAH
