Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Awards 2019

Global Medical Response (GMR) individuals recognized by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) for their contributions to medical transport community. Awarded air ambulances services includes AirLink (Bend, Oregon), EagleMed (Great Bend, Kansas) and Life-Guard Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, Virginia)

Global Medical Response, October 29, 2019 - DALLAS - Individuals from three Global Medical Response (GMR) operations from Oregon to Virginia have been recognized for their remarkable contributions to the air medical and critical care ground transport community by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS).

The three people recognized will be given their awards Nov. 4 at the AAMS' 2019 Air Medical Transport Conference in Atlanta, Ga.

- Dr. Helenka Marcinek, retired Medical Director for AirLink Critical Care Transport in Bend, Oregon, will be awarded the Marriott-Carlson Lifetime Achievement Award. AAMS prestigious award, sponsored by Bell Textron, Inc., recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the overall advancement, development and leadership of the medical transport community.

- Robert Nolan, Base Manager for EagleMed 797 in Great Bend, Kansas, will receive the Critical Care Ground Award of Excellence. This award, sponsored by the International Board of Specialty Certification, celebrates an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to safety, education, leadership and patient advocacy by improving patient care in the medical transport community.

- Mark Hannon, Aviation Mechanic of Life-Guard services at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virgnia, will receive the Transport Mechanic's Award of Excellence. Sponsored by Leonardo Helicopters, the award goes to an individual directly responsible for vehicle maintenance who has made significant contributions to the safe operation of medical transport vehicles.
