DRF Luftrettung, January 24, 2020 - From 2020 onwards, the DRF Foundation will support Air Rescue projects on a larger scale than before, which focus on the research and development of innovative methods, new concepts and systems in the field of pre-clinical emergency and rescue medicine, especially in the field of air rescue.
Interested parties can submit their project from now on.
"Because every human life is unique and irreplaceable, we cannot be satisfied with the Status Quo, but to continuously invest in the further development of emergency medicine and air rescue", stresses Dr. h. C. Rudolf Böhmler, Foundation Board of Directors, the motives of the Foundation.
In doing so, the foundation is dedicated to one of its main tasks, namely to optimize the provision of air-based emergency medicine and to increase patient safety as well as the effectiveness and efficiency in Air Rescue companies. "So that patients can continue to receive the best possible care in the future," continues Dr. Böhmler.
From the year 2020, research and development work in the field of emergency medicine worldwide and its use in Air Rescue will therefore be pursued in an even larger framework with the financial support of the foundation.
Organizations, universities, companies and individuals can submit their projects to the DRF Stiftung Luftrettung at any time without major bureaucratic effort by means of a form.
The coordination and examination of the applications is carried out on a voluntary basis by a funding committee, which is staffed by high-ranking representatives from various social, economic and medical fields.
The funding can cover a wide range of formats and topics: from traditional project funding in the field of intensive transport, to publications on trauma care or scientific theses on patient safety, to support in training and further training for medical care in large - scale operations.
The funding can be granted in different amounts depending on the project and the applicant. The entire funding volume is determined annually by the board of trustees.
