Sputnik, October 23, 2017 - Mexican company Craft Avia Center has requested the aviation authorities of Mexico the validation of the flight certificate for the Russian helicopter Ansat.
During the visit to Mexico of the Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation, Denis Mánturov, negotiations were held in order to establish the distribution of the Ansat in the Latin American country and the process of obtaining a Mexican certificate for the helicopter.
"At the moment Craft Avia Center has already begun building a platform that will house the Ansat Helicopter Maintenance and Repair Center in an area of 4,000 m2", said Rostec Deputy Director General Dmitri Lelikov.
The current fleet of Russian helicopters in Mexico comprises about 50 Mi-8/17 and two Mi-26 helicopters.
