Airbus Completes VNH AS332L2 Overhaul
Vietnam’s VNH South AS332L2 returned to Vung Tau after completion of its overhaul at Airbus Helicopter Malaysia’s MRO facility in Subang
VNH, December 09, 2016 - On December 9th 2016, one Super Puma AS332L2 (SP L2) of Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNH South) safely landed at Vung Tau airport after completion of its overhaul at Airbus Helicopter Malaysia’s Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Centre (MRO) in Subang, Malaysia.
This aircraft will resume its commercial flights since 2007.
The overhaul included basic overhaul (repairing and repainting airframe) and important modifications such as installation of the Early Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), ventilation and cooling systems to enhance the safety, reliability and comfortability of the aircraft.
During the overhaul process, VNH South’s technicians also participated in all the maintenance and modification programs with Airbus Helicopters’s experts in order to improve their professional skills and supervise the overhaul process as well.
Super Puma L2 is one of the most successful type of helicopter that VNH South has been operating in terms of both safety and economic efficiency. The overhaul and modification really improve the quality and safety of VNH South’s helicopter services as well as strengthen the long-term relationship between VNH South and Airbus Helicopters.
